Professor Park Jae Woo

On 11th of March 1942, the Founding Father of Sujok Therapy, Professor Park Jae Woo was born in Seoul, South Korea. He lived with the purpose of relieving people of their sufferings and creating a pain free, Smile Civilization.

Professor Park Jae Woo, a Korean Philosopher, Scientist and Spiritual leader, developed innumerable theories and healing methods to help people understand the carious aspects of existence- Physical, emotional, mental & spiritual aspects. In his quest to understand the meaning of existence, He studied healing systems of Phoenicia, Egypt, India, China, and brought together these bits and pieces to solve the whole puzzle under the name of Sujok! He discovered and unraveled the surprising similarities between the Human body and the hand & feet- a key to a new direction in the World of Acupuncture. He created quite a stir in Korea, when his first article was published in a scientific journal, in 1987, paving the way for the birth of Sujok Therapy. His theories based on logic and reasoning, differed all other Onnuri Acupuncture systems and stated that the ‘Thumb is Head’. Professor Park went on to upgrade the age old Chinese Five Element Philosophy and brought forward an advanced variation called the Six Ki Theory. He experienced the echoes of Smile meditation which led him to the realization of Triorigin, the most fundamental of his theories.

Professor also devised various other methods of treatment to enhance physical and mental health- Twist Therapy, Smile Yoga, Smile Tai chi, Sam Won Gong, Triorigin Feng Shui, and many more. He traveled the world extensively, giving lectures and participating in Scientific Conferences, awakening the dormant good souls all over and bringing them together to spread the message of Smile.

He has written a number of books, composed music for Smile Meditation. He headed various prestigious instituitions & was honoured with many Noble titles over the years.

On 25th March 2010, Professor Park left for his heavenly abode while doing what he loved the most-imparting knowledge and awareness. He dedicated his whole life to the betterment of humankind. Today we see the seeds that he had planted have begun to sprout!
